Krystal speaks the truth.

Stop holding onto that bar when playing. It really hinders you, especially if you don't have good reach, and you're trying to hit the up arrow. Besides, it looks like crap when you hold the bar when playing. You're not impressing anyone. o.o

Anyhoo... that's about all I have to say about that.

Amen! :D

I can understand the valid reasons, for those who do freestyling (by means of vaulting over the bar and such), or people that are kinda lanky and don't have the best of balance... but that's something that can be worked with over time. :>

Haha. That's right, you don't need to hold onto the bar: just memorize the location of the arrow so you can step on them. Still, I saw a bunch of guys play a really hard level on DDR once; they were holding on to the bar with both hands so their feet could move fast enough to catch the arrows, and it seemed the song was insanely hard.

Still, though, if a person finishes a challenging song while holding the bar, it's not nearly as impressive as if they finish it and didn't even touch the bar.

Case in point, Drop Out on the Heavy difficulty setting. :)
